Senior QA Engineer

Location:                     Unit 7 The Pavilions, Cranmore Drive, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4SB

Salary:                         Depending on experience

Hours:                        37.5 Hours per week – Full Time

Clarity Software is looking for a passionate and talented Senior QA Engineer, who will take on the role of managing the testing plan function, moving the company forward. We are seeking someone with a great attitude and experience of in-house software projects, who will manage and further develop a robust test strategy within our business.

 About you and the Role 
  • Working closely with our software developers and other team members providing support and guidance to other testers within your team

  • You will have an eye for detail and be a great communicator and a team player

  • Working within an innovative and passionate team with lots of room for personal development

  • You will take responsibility for the manual and automated testing of our in-house software development projects

  • This is a pivotal role in our business growth as you’ll be the gatekeeper for quality and ensuring that development is robust and fit for purpose

  • Provide support and guidance to others in the team, working closely with our developers

  • Manage and further develop automated testing framework and have full ownership of it

  • Reviewing Business requirements and customer requirements for features

  • Drive design and innovation within the test environment

  • A team player

Experience and Skills
  • You must be UK based and have a minimum of 2 years+ experience in the field

  • Knowledge and experience of various automation testing tools essential

  • Knowledge of Cypress and SQL

  • Creating new test plans, testing design and test schedules

  • Familiarity with modern frameworks (React.js preferred)

  • Planning and scheduling of own time to meet release deadlines

  • Software deployment and release testing

  • Providing detailed descriptions of bugs, including recreation instructions

  • Keeping an up-to-date test case record for each system

  • Contributing to team knowledge sharing activities

  • Working on different ad hoc projects as part of the overall business strategy

  • A pro-active ‘can do ’attitude to your work
