Clarity Software staff complete mountain walk challenge

Highest peak in South Wales conquered by Clarity staff as part of team building exercise

Members from the Clarity Software innovation team recently banded together to complete a challenging and strenuous mountain walk to the summit of Pen Y Fan, which is the highest peak in South Wales.

Situated in the renowned Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres  (2,907 ft) above sea-level, it is also the tallest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

Some members of staff are keen walkers but do not get the chance to get out onto the mountain peaks often.

The guys got together and decided that a refreshing outdoor hike was long overdue to help boost their team working skills even further.

Mountain walking is a good physical and mental workout and also acts as a great team building exercise. The invitation for the walk was extended to the whole Clarity team to encourage people who haven’t been on the mountains before to take up the activity as a good form of fitness.

Stephen Battey, Clarity Software Senior Developer said;

“Pen Y Fan is a good introductory route – not too challenging but has great views. We picked a great day for visibility. We got views across South Wales, to the Severn Estuary and even beyond to Somerset”.

Clarity Software team complete Pen Y Fan Stephen Battey, Raj Kaul, Steve Fernandes and David Steward from the Clarity Software team were pleased to reach the top of Pen Y Fan which is the highest peak in South Wales. A well deserved rest followed.
